The Royal Family of the Netherlands in Markthal!
On April 27, Klépierre proudly welcomed the Dutch royal family to Markthal, our Rotterdam shopping center. Dedicated to food, Markthal is the Netherland’s leading covered market, bringing together a wide variety of foodservice providers, local producers and business people. Millions of onlookers and TV viewers watched the royal family visit the iconic center, with its striking, contemporary design, as part of a tour encompassing Rotterdam’s diverse attractions, from culture and art to history and craftsmanship. The event was held in honor of Koningsday (King’s Day), a Dutch national holiday celebrating the birthday of King Willem-Alexander and, this year, his ten years on the throne.
