A new mall in the heart of town

Les Passages Pasteur is the cornerstone of the modernization of the old town, providing Besançon and the surrounding Bourgogne-Franche-Comté region with the shopping center that they needed. Located in the town’s shopping district, the center attracts an urban, dynamic clientele looking for new inspiration.
At once a retail hub, social focus, and a town-center promenade, Les Passages Pasteur is an essential shopping destination for the locals! With around twenty stores, the mall blends modernity and authenticity, delighting both shoppers and architecture amateurs. Designed by Chapman Taylor, the construction was designed to blend seamlessly into the existing structure, offsetting the old stones against a strong, modern look. The signature of the new urban pathway, protected and vibrant, is transparent, with sleek lines and vast spaces.

Every year since the shopping center opened, UNICEF has held a stand selling gifts for children in need, to the delight of the locals browsing for goodies and the benefit of the public good.
