A premium experience alongside the Garonne
Rives d’Arcins is one of the largest retail shrines in Greater Bordeaux, located just 10 minutes from the city center. But more than that, it represents a new way to situate a shopping center within both its urban and natural environment. The mall’s construction was part of a broader effort to reclaim the Garonne River and rehabilitate the river banks.
The project also served as a veritable research lab, pioneering a new approach to architectural design, services and sustainability. The mall pledges to abide by six principles: preserve the site, uphold its quality of life, share its knowledge, preserve its traditions, capitalize on its setting and create a special place.
And later expansions have been faithful to those tenets, including the construction of the Arches de l’Estey, 12 medium-sized retail units adjacent to the mall that have enhanced its shopping appeal. Rives d’Arcins has been awarded both BREEAM Construction and BREEAM In-Use certification.
